Gala Update

Ware put in an encouraging peformance in round 2 of Major League with another 4th place finish. On the night there was 3 individual second places including two from Lewis Elliston in the Open 100m freestyle (56.88) and 100m breaststroke (1.19.12) and one from Sidney Thompson in the U12, 25m butterfly (18.25). In the relays there were 4 second places with the Open boys (Alex Smith, Charles Sinclair, Lewis Elliston and Rye Grover) securing silver medals in both the freestyle (50.25) and medley (57.56) relays, while the under 12 boys (Sam Cox, Harrison Egerton, Sidney Thompson and Harry Kent) and under 12 girls (Victoria George, Alice Field, Polly Watson and Evie Ward) were both successful in the medley relay. Special mention also goes to Lewis Elliston, Charles Sinclair and Louis Cripps who, assuming no change to qualifying, all swam times in their individual events that would qualify for 2017 County Championships. On the club representation front the following all clocked up significant milestones with Louis Cripps, Lily Watson and Isabel Watson all completing their 40th galas and Miles Osterburg his 70th gala. Wulfrath Update

There will be a meeting regarding the Wulfrath visit next Tuesday, 15th March at 7.00pm in the Library at Chauncy School. At the meeting details of the final itinerary will be provided, together with information on hosting and the gala dinner. Following the meeting there will be a practice gala at Fanshawe Pool from 8pm to 10pm.
