WARE SWIMMING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP BY-LAWS

To be eligible to compete in the Ware Swimming Club Championships each competitor must comply with all of the following By-Laws.

Competitors will have been a club member and paid their club and ASA membership fees prior to 1^st July for all age groups in the year of the championships

· Only those club members that have paid the ASA Category Two Membership fee for swimming disciplines SW and MSW may compete in the Club Championships

“Time only” swims for those joining the club in any age group and paying the club and ASA membership fee after 1^st July will be considered by the Committee

Competitors shall only be allowed to swim in the youngest age group for which they are qualified and in the 50m and 200m freestyle “Open Age Group” events.

Competitors shall have had continuous unbroken membership of Ware SC as shown on the ASA Membership return under the term (Rank)

· Any member who has competed in the Championships of another Swimming Club during the preceding 12 months prior to the Ware Swimming Club Championships or intends to do so during the same calendar year shall not be eligible to compete in the Club Championships

Championship records can only be claimed during the Club Championships.

The championship events for the current calendar year are as follows:

Under 10 Boys and Girls 1 length backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly

Under 12 Boys and Girls 2 lengths backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly (1 length)

Under 14 Boys and Girls 2 lengths backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly

Under 17 Boys and Girls 4 lengths backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly (2 lengths)

Over 17 Boys and Girls 4 lengths backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly

Under 13 Boys and Girls 4x1 length Individual Medley

Under 15 Boys and Girls 4x1 length Individual Medley

Over 15 Boys and Girls 4x1 length Individual Medley

Open Age Group: 200 metres freestyle and 50 metres freestyle
